The Rev. Jon Spinillo is welcomed as St. Paul’s priest beginning on October 1, 2019. Following studies at United Theological Seminary and the ECMN’s School for Formation he has been an associate priest at Calvary Episcopal Church in Rochester since July 2018 and a resident chaplain at The Mayo Clinic, where he has helped respond to the diverse spiritual needs of the hospital’s patients, patients’ families, and staff.
Fr. Jon lives in Rochester, Minnesota with his wife Dr. Kharmene Sunga, a physician, their three-year-old son Miles, dog Maize, and cat Jim. In his spare time, he can be found on the bike trails of south-eastern Minnesota, rowing a scull down the Zumbro River, cooking vegan food, and playing/listening to music. He looks forward to walking with St. Paul’s parish as they celebrate the mystery of God’s love and discern what the Holy Spirit is calling them to be and do in Winona for the years ahead.
There will be a welcome coffee hour after the 9:30 a.m. Eucharist on Sunday, October 6. All are welcome!
